Algonquin Provincial Park Visit

This September we visited Algonquin Provincial Park, staying at Killarney Lodge, on Lake of Two Rivers, as we like to do every few years. This year we did not bring our e-bikes, so we did not ride the Old Railway Bike Trail that we usually do. But we hiked a few trails and spent some time around our cabin and the lodge.

Below are some slideshows of our visit and a video of the ducks around the dock at our cabin.

Photo Versions – Same Scene, Different Day, Time, Lighting and Sky

This is a series of photos taken from outside our cabin at Killarney Lodge on Lake of Two Rivers in Algonquin Provincial Park. The photos of the same scene (approximately) were taken on different days and times. The photos were taken with my Panasonic Lumix FZ300 camera and optimized for maximum details with Franzis Color Projects software.

The photos are indicated by date and time from largest to smallest unit (Year, Month, Date, 24 Hour Time) allowing for automatic sorting chronologically.

Back From The Great Green North

The Fifth Column has been idle for a few weeks because the Fifth Columnist has been on vacation in Northern Ontario.

We spent about a week at our favourite bed and breakfast, Whispering Pines on the Bay between Killarney Provincial Park and Sudbury. After that we spent almost a week at Killarney Lodge in Algonquin Park. Although a bit pricey, Killarney Lodge is a family operated lodge on Lake of Two Rivers with absolutely wonderful service and owners that really care about their guests.

I hope to soon post some photo blogs about our northern vacation as well as get back to regular blogging, although that may still be intermittent throughout the summer.
